Resting on a quiet tree-lined road, this small and friendly B&B is conveniently located within walking distance of all the sights of Torquay, but far enough for you to feel relaxed.
Just a short stroll away from the seafront, with its safe, sandy beach and harbour, the Crowndale presents itself as the ideal base from which to explore Torquay and its surroundings. It is just minutes away from the Riviera Leisure and Conference Centre, Torre Abbey and Gardens, the theatre, shops and sports facilities.
In the evenings you can relax in the comfortable guest lounge, where you can watch TV or a video, do a jigsaw, play cards or board games, or just curl up with a good book. Alternatively, you can soak up the last of the day’s sun on the terrace.

By Car:
- Take the M5.
- Exit following directions for Torquay (A380).
- Pass through Newton Abbott and Kingskerswell.
- At the 'English Riviera' roundabout, continue straight on and pass through the traffic lights by Currys and McDonald's.
- Follow this road until you get your first glimpse of the sea, and at the traffic lights by Halfords, take the outside lane (signposted the seafront) and continue down Avenue Road.
- Pass through the next set of lights at Mill Lane.
- Take the next left into Bampfylde Road.
- Bridge Road is the second road on the left and the Crowndale is on the left-hand side of the road.
To make your trip even more relaxed, should you wish to be picked up from the station then the hotel will provide a taxi service.
